Jayne Davis is a historical romance fiction author from the United Kingdom who writes under a pseudonym. She has a day job writing nonfiction school textbooks. Davis was born in England, near the Welsh border, and lived in several places while growing up, including Singapore and Malta. It was in Malta where she developed a love for historical romances after discovering a set of Georgette Heyer novels left behind in a furnished house. Davis has always had a passion for Jane Austen and Heyer's works, and she has longed to write similar novels herself.
Despite her early aspirations, Davis's real life intervened, and she had several careers before finally publishing her stories. One of these careers included writing non-fiction under a different name, which was not the writing career she had in mind. However, Davis remained determined to publish her historical romance novels, and she has now finally achieved that goal. She hopes that readers will enjoy her stories, which are no doubt influenced by her love for Jane Austen and Georgette Heyer's works. Davis's background in several different places and cultures may also add unique perspectives to her writing, making her stories all the more interesting to readers.
