Jean Fullerton is a renowned Historical Fiction and Romance author, born and raised in the East End of London, United Kingdom. She was born into a large family and spent her childhood in the overcrowded streets surrounding the Tower of London. Her love for history began at school when she read Anya Seton's book "Katherine," and she has been fascinated by English history ever since.
Fullerton's background and upbringing in East London give her historical stories a unique and authentic feel. She is particularly interested in the 18th and 19th centuries and sets her books in this period. Fullerton is passionate about historical accuracy and enjoys researching the details of her stories almost as much as writing them. Her characters walk down streets that actually existed, and she brings the vibrant area of East London alive in her stories of love, family, and hard times.
In addition to her writing, Fullerton has been shortlisted for and won several awards. She is also a regular guest speaker at writing workshops and has been a guest cruise lecturer, sailing around the world talking about East London's vibrant history. Fullerton is married to a minister in the Church of England and has three grown-up daughters. She continues to live in East London, just five miles from where she was born, and is fortunate enough to share her love of history with her readers.
