Jeffrey S. Stephens is an accomplished American author, best known for his thriller novels and the Jordan Sandor series. Born in New York City, Stephens graduated high school at the young age of sixteen and went on to earn his B.A. in Creative Writing from Pennsylvania State University by the time he was nineteen. Although he started writing his first novel during his time at university, he chose to pursue a career in law instead, attending Fordham University. It was only after many years as a legal practitioner, where he gained experience in criminal and civil law and represented celebrity clients, that Stephens would transition into a career as an author.
Stephens was born and raised in the Marble Hill neighborhood in the Bronx, a place that has produced many renowned artists and literary practitioners. He attended the Bronx High School of Science and, after graduating from Pennsylvania State University, began writing his first novel as a pastime. However, it was not until much later, during his law career, that he would have the opportunity to become an author. After a literary agent discovered the manuscript for his first novel, "The Portofino Deception," while playing golf with one of Stephens' friends, the novel was published within weeks. With the encouragement of his wife, Nancy, and the commercial success of his first novel, Stephens has continued to write and publish thrilling novels.
Stephens currently resides in Greenwich, Connecticut, with his wife and their two children. In addition to being an accomplished author, he is also an avid tennis player, golfer, and skier who has traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean, Asia, Europe, and the United States. His love for travel and adventure is often reflected in his writing, particularly in the Jordan Sandor series.
