Jessica Johns

Jessica Johns is a Cree writer from Canada who identifies as a nehiyaw-English-Irish aunty and a member of the Sucker Creek First Nation in Northern Alberta. She has made a name for herself as a nutritionist and food blogger, sharing her passion for food and healthy eating with her readers.

Johns' journey in the world of food and nutrition began about twelve years ago when she discovered her interest in cooking and culinary traditions. It wasn't until 2007, however, that she decided to turn her passion into a career and started writing about the food she loved. Her dedication to sharing her knowledge and love for food only grew stronger, and she enrolled in a prestigious institution to get a degree in food and nutrition a few years later.

Johns' writing and nutrition work is driven by her desire to help people and respond to their dietary needs. She has been inspired by interesting research and ongoing studies on food and its impact on health. In particular, Johns was influenced by a friend who cured her illness through major dietary changes. This experience showed Johns the power of food and nutrition in promoting health and well-being.

As a practicing nutritionist, Johns emphasizes the importance of listening to the body's needs and responding with a suitable dietary plan. She offers a variety of diet plans to help people with ailments such as cancer, diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, mental weakness, and other health issues. Johns believes in nourishing the body and mind with organic and natural ingredients, and she strives to incorporate these principles into local cuisines and styles so that people from all over the world can enjoy the specific foods they love while maintaining a healthy diet.
