Jacobs' research has taken him to nearly 50 different countries, allowing him to gain firsthand experience and knowledge of various archaeological sites and cultures.

His dedication to archaeology and its preservation has led him to work with prestigious institutions such as the Smithsonian, the American Museum of Natural History, and UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. Jacobs has been instrumental in formulating policies related to the protection of archaeological sites in developing countries. His extensive travels and research have given him a unique perspective and understanding of the importance of preserving these sites for future generations.
