Katherine Addison is a pen name used by the author Sarah Monette. Sarah was born and raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, which was one of the three secret cities of the Manhattan Project. From a young age, Sarah was inclined towards writing and began her writing journey at the age of twelve. She completed her B.A. from Case Western Reserve University and went on to earn her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. However, she feels that her degrees are of little use to her in her day job or her writing.
Sarah Monette is an accomplished author who has published numerous works in the genres of fantasy and horror. She has also published under the name Katherine Addison. Sarah is active on Twitter, where she tweets as @pennyvixen. She has a separate Twitter presence as Katherine Addison, where she reviews nonfiction. Sarah's fiction reviews can be found on her @pennyvixen Twitter account. Despite being active on Twitter, she admits to reading very little fiction these days.
In addition to her writing, Sarah Monette has an interesting day job, although she does not specify what it is. She currently resides near Madison, Wisconsin, where she continues to write and review books. Her work has been well-received by critics and readers alike, and she has established herself as a respected voice in the genres of fantasy and horror. With her unique writing style and imaginative storytelling, Sarah Monette, aka Katherine Addison, has made a significant contribution to speculative fiction.
