Kathleen Delaney

Kathleen Delaney is an American author who is best known for the Mary McGill Mystery series. She was born in Southern California and married right out of high school. After starting a family, Delaney found herself raising five children, as well as a variety of animals including cats, dogs, horses, and even 4H animals. In addition to her love for animals, Delaney also worked as a real estate broker in Paso Robles, a small town in California. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for writing, which led her to make her fiction debut with the novel "Dying For a Change" in 2002.

After many years of living in California, Delaney recently made the decision to move to South Carolina to focus on her writing full-time. She found a charming old historic house with a wrap-around porch, where she now lives with her two dogs. Despite facing some challenges in recent years, including losing her left leg due to PAD, Delaney remains determined and positive. She has continued to travel and write, releasing her fourth book "Murder Half-Baked" in May of the previous year. Delaney has also started a new series, with the first book already finished and in the hands of her agent. Through her writing, Delaney shares her adventures and rambling thoughts with her readers, inviting them to join her on her journey.
