Kathleen McGurl is a sagas and historical fiction author, who currently resides in Bournemouth with her husband and cat. She has two grown-up sons who have now left home. McGurl has always had a passion for writing, but it wasn't until later in life that she found the time to pursue her dream. After realizing that she would not be paid to take a year off work to write a book, she decided to take matters into her own hands and started writing one anyway.
Before concentrating on longer fiction, McGurl sold dozens of short stories to women's magazines in Australia and the United Kingdom. She has also written three books for writers and has self-published several novels with HQ. In 2019, after a long career in the IT industry, McGurl became a full-time writer. When she's not writing, she enjoys going for runs, albeit at a slow pace.
McGurl is known for her dual timeline novels, which she has published with CarinaUK and HQ. Her writing career began with creating short stories, which she published in women's magazines in Australia and the United Kingdom. She is originally from Christchurch, UK, where she lived with her husband and two sons before they left home.
