Kathy Herman is a highly respected novelist from America, known for her work in the literature and fiction, mystery, spiritual, suspense, thriller, and religious genres. She has written around twenty books, many of which have been bestsellers. Some of her most popular series include the Sophie Trace series, the Seaport series, and the Secrets of the Roux River Bayou series.
Before beginning her writing career, Herman worked in her family's Christian bookstore and later served as a staff member at the Association of Christian Booksellers in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She also worked as a product buyer and manager in the children's section at the Better Books Center in Tyler, eventually becoming the human resource director. Herman has conducted numerous educational seminars on children's books at CBA Conventions in Canada and the United States.
Herman is well-known in the Christian novel industry and has been praised for her ability to weave inspirational messages into her contemporary, fast-paced novels. Her books have been used as required reading in colleges and in book club discussions and Bible study groups. Herman has a blended family of three grown children and five "nearly perfect" grandchildren. She is an avid nature photographer and bird watcher, with a particular fascination for hummingbirds. Herman currently resides in the Northwest with her cat, Prissy.
