Michael Christopher Carter

Michael Christopher Carter is a British author, born and raised in Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. His passion for reading and writing emerged at a young age, with his mother introducing him to horror and thriller novels by Stephen King. As he grew older, he discovered other authors in the genre, such as Dean Koontz and James Herbert. Despite his early interest in writing, Carter did not pursue it as a career until later in life.

Prior to becoming a writer, Carter spent most of his early days in sales. However, an ill family member forced him to abandon his company, which led him to reconsider his career path. It was not until he turned forty that Carter began to take writing seriously. He found enjoyment in the process and has since completed four books. Carter's writing often reflects his experiences and knowledge of the Welsh culture, making his work unique and captivating.

In addition to being a writer, Carter is also a spiritual healer and carer, holding the title of Reiki Master since 1999. This aspect of his life has given him a unique empathy with the human psyche, which is evident in his writing. He is inspired by a variety of authors, including Stephen King, Dean Koontz, James Herbert, Harlan Coben, and Morag Joss. Carter currently resides in South-West Wales with his wife and four children, where he finds inspiration for his writing in the breathtaking scenery and the people within it.
