Richard Bard, a successful American author, has led an extraordinary life before turning to writing. Bard worked as a pilot for the Air Force in his youth. However, his life took a dramatic turn when he was diagnosed with cancer and given only a few months to live. Defying the odds, he survived and went on to earn a management degree from the University of Notre Dame. He then utilized his degree to manage companies that developed high-security products for the US government.
Bard is renowned for his thriller and suspense novels, which are highly regarded for their high-octane action and adventure-filled narratives. His personal experiences as a former RAF pilot and cancer survivor have enabled him to create compelling characters who risk everything for love and loyalty. Bard was born in Munich, Germany, to American parents and joined the United States Air Force like his father. After leaving the service due to his cancer diagnosis, he earned a management degree from the University of Notre Dame and ran three successful companies that supplied advanced security products to US embassies and governments worldwide. Now a full-time writer, Bard resides in Redondo Beach, California, with his wife and remains in excellent health.
