Robert Rotenberg

Robert Rotenberg is a distinguished Canadian author, celebrated for his mystery and thriller novels. He is best known for his Detective Greene series, which has captivated readers with its intricate storytelling and well-crafted characters. Rotenberg studied English literature at the University of Toronto and earned his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, further enhancing his knowledge by earning a Master’s degree in International Law from the London School of Economics.

In addition to his writing career, Rotenberg is also a highly respected lawyer. He is a partner in the firm Rotenberg Shidlowski Jesin and is recognized as one of Toronto’s top criminal lawyers, having defended a wide range of cases, from murder to shoplifting. Rotenberg's legal background and experience in Toronto's criminal justice system have undoubtedly provided valuable insights and inspiration for his crime fiction.

Before pursuing his law career, Rotenberg gained experience in publishing and editing. After graduating from law school, he moved to Paris and became the managing editor of Passion, an English-speaking magazine. Upon his return to Canada, he launched his own magazine, T.O. The Magazine of Toronto. In 1991, Rotenberg established his own law practice, continuing to maintain his connections in the publishing world while building a successful legal career. He resides in Toronto and is the proud father of three children.
