Roberto Ampuero

Roberto Ampuero is a highly regarded Chilean author, columnist, and university professor, who has made significant contributions to the literary world with his mystery, crime fiction, thriller, and suspense stories. Ampuero first gained recognition with the publication of his debut novel, "¿Quién mató a Kristián Kustermann?" which introduced the character of Cayetano Brulé, a private eye who has since become a popular figure in Ampuero's subsequent works.

In addition to his successful writing career, Ampuero has also held prominent positions in Chilean politics, serving as the Foreign Affairs Minister of Chile from March 2018 to June 2019.
