Sarah Vaughan is a journalist and novelist who has known since she was young that she wanted to write fiction. After studying English at Oxford, Vaughan worked for The Guardian for 11 years as a news reporter, health correspondent, and political correspondent. She then left to freelance and pursue her dream of writing fiction.
Vaughan's third novel, Anatomy of a Scandal, was an instant international bestseller and a top five bestseller in the Sunday Times. It was also a number one bestseller on Kindle and was longlisted for the Theakston's Old Peculier Crime Novel and shortlisted for awards in France, Sweden, and the UK. The novel has been translated into 22 languages and is being adapted for TV. Vaughan's fourth novel, Little Disasters, will be published in France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, the UK, and the US. She is also the author of several other successful novels, including her most recent, Reputation, which has been optioned for TV development.
In addition to her work as a novelist, Vaughan is a former journalist who read English at Oxford and trained at the Press Association. She spent 11 years at The Guardian as a news reporter and political correspondent before leaving to freelance and focus on her fiction writing.
