Saralyn Richard

Saralyn Richard is an accomplished author and educator, known for her award-winning children's fiction and mystery thrillers. From a young age, Richard had a love for reading, thanks to her mother who took her to the local library every weekend and helped her build a personal library. She began by reading series like Nancy Drew and Judy Bolton, and later expanded her collection to include works by authors such as Agatha Christie and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Although she initially considered a career in intelligence, Richard ultimately found her calling in writing about detectives and their investigations.

Richard's first published work was a children's book titled "Naughty Nana," which was narrated from the perspective of Nana, her old English sheepdog. In addition to writing children's books, Richard also enjoys crafting mysteries that feature diverse settings, from elite country manor houses to disadvantaged urban high schools. She is a member of several professional organizations, including International Thriller Writers and Mystery Writers of America. Richard is passionate about teaching creative writing and literature, and she enjoys connecting with readers through book clubs, organization meetings, and social media.

Beyond her love for writing and education, Richard has a wide range of interests, including beaches, reading, sheepdogs, the arts, libraries, parties, nature, cooking, and connecting with readers.
