Saskia Sarginson

Saskia Sarginson is a celebrated author, born and raised in England. She has made a name for herself as a writer of psychological thrillers and women's fiction novels. Saskia was born and raised in Suffolk, where she spent her childhood in a cottage located in the middle of a pine forest. She grew up with her brother, sister, and mother, and the family kept goats, ponies, hens, and cats. Saskia and her siblings had the freedom to roam the forest alone, an experience that would later inspire her to write her best-selling debut novel, "The Twins."

Saskia has an impressive educational background, with a B.A. with honors in English Literature from Cambridge and an M.A. in Creative Writing from Royal Holloway. She has worked in various fields, including as a Health & Beauty Editor, freelance journalist, ghost-writer, and script reader. Saskia is a mother of four children, including identical twin girls, and currently resides in London with her partner, three dogs, and two cats. When she is not writing or reading, she enjoys tango dancing, dog walking, baking vegan cakes, and coming up with ideas for plots during her twice-daily dog walks.

Saskia's work has gained international recognition, with her books being translated into approximately 15 languages. Some of her notable works include "Without You," "The Other Me," and "The Stranger." She has been shortlisted for Best Historical Read, 2015, and for the Leserpreis German Book Award, 2014. Her new novel, "How It Ends" (also known as "The Wonderful" in the US), has been shortlisted for The East Anglian Prize for Literature 2019. Saskia has also been a columnist for The Guardian and has worked as an editor and journalist on women's magazines. She finds inspiration in her daily life, with her experiences and surroundings often influencing her writing.
