Susan Walter is an accomplished author and filmmaker. After spending many years working her way up in the Hollywood industry, she eventually became a filmmaker, a testament to her determination and hard work.
Born and raised in Boston, Walter now resides in Los Angeles. She holds an AB in government from Harvard, although she has yet to put this degree to use. Instead, she has had a varied career, which has included working as a failed concert violinist, an unwatchable TV news reporter, and a mother to two teenage girls. Despite her diverse background, Walter has found success as a writer and director. She is the winner of the (not terribly) prestigious WIFTS screenwriting award for the film "All I Wish," which she wrote and directed, and which starred Sharon Stone.
In addition to her work in film, Walter is also a successful novelist. Her first two novels, "Good as Dead" and "Over Her Dead Body," were both Amazon First Reads editors' picks and hit number one on Audible across all categories. Her latest novel, "Lie by the Pool," is a suspenseful story about a woman who witnesses a murder while hiding in a Beverly Hills pool house. The novel is set for publication on September 12, 2023. Walter is known for her wicked strong coffee, her love of skiing and lazy bike rides, and her ability to suppress her Boston accent to avoid stink eye from sports fans in Los Angeles.
