Susannah Charleson

Susannah Charleson is a accomplished author, flight instructor, and canine search-and-rescue team member. She has written two books, including the New York Times bestseller, "Scent of the Missing," and "The Possibility Dogs." Charleson is also the Executive Director of Possibility Dogs, Inc., a nonprofit organization that rescues and trains homeless dogs for service and therapy work.

In addition to her work with dogs, Charleson is also a commercial pilot and flight instructor. She has a deep love for animals and shares her home with a variety of pets, including a search partner named Puzzle, a golden retriever certified for the recovery of missing persons, a service dog in training named Jake Piper, a German shepherd-pit bull-poodle mix, as well as a rabble of pomeranians, a chihuahua-cairn terrier mix, and two cats.

Charleson's first book, "Scent of the Missing," was published in 2010 and was optioned for television the same year. Her second book, "The Possibility Dogs," was released in June 2013. In her writing, Charleson explores the unique bond between humans and animals, and the ways in which these relationships can bring about healing and transformation.
