Vicki Stiefel is an accomplished American author, best known for her fantasy romance series, The Made Ones, and the Afterworld Chronicles series. Stiefel was born in New York City and spent much of her childhood in the Ivoryton Playhouse, an equity stock theater owned by her family in Connecticut. She worked in various roles at the playhouse, including usher, walk-on, secretary, apprentice, and assistant business manager.
In addition to writing under her own name, Stiefel also publishes works under the pseudonym Sanna Brand. As Sanna Brand, she has authored the Regency Romance, THE BOND (Book 1, The Secret Tales), which is set to launch on May 15. Stiefel's other notable works include her fantasy romance series, The Made Ones Saga, which launched with ALTERED and continued with CHANGED and ASCENDANT. She also writes award-winning mystery/thrillers featuring homicide counselor Tally Whyte.
Stiefel has a diverse background that includes running The Writers Studio with her late husband, William G. Tapply, and teaching fiction and modern media writing for six years at Clark University. She grew up in professional theater and had planned to become an actress, but instead worked in various jobs, including slinging hamburgers, managing a scuba shop, and becoming a college professor. Stiefel is a mom to two wonderful humans and a furry pack, and her passions for scuba diving, fly fishing, knitting, and horses often appear in her novels, as do chocolate, bourbon, and lobster. She is currently working on THE DECEPTION, the second book in The Secret Tales.
