Victoria Hamilton

Victoria Hamilton is the pen name of Donna Lea Simpson, a bestselling author of mystery and romance novels. She has written over 30 books in her career, which has spanned almost a decade. Hamilton developed a love for mystery novels after being influenced by the works of Agatha Christie and Jane Austen. She believes that a little mystery adds piquancy to romance stories and a little romance adds humanity to mystery stories.

Hamilton writes the Vintage Kitchen Mysteries series and the Merry Muffin Mysteries series. She is also a collector of vintage kitchenware and enjoys baking muffins. On writing days, she drinks tea and coffee, and during her free time, she likes to take long walks. She also has a passion for Karaoke and has a liking for cooking, painting, tea, vintage cookware, cats, cross-stitching, and fruity Merlot.

Aside from writing as Victoria Hamilton, Simpson is also a bestselling author of Regency Romances, paranormal historicals, and historical mysteries under her real name. Her latest writing adventure is a Regency-set historical mystery series, featuring Miss Emmeline St. Germaine, a young lady who dares to defy society. The series began with "A Gentlewoman's Guide to Murder" in February 2019. She is also continuing the Lady Anne Addison mystery series and has a new Merry Muffin Mystery coming up.

Hamilton enjoys reading mystery novels and has a newfound appreciation for opera. She loves good tea and cheap wine and enjoys the company of friends. Hamilton also enjoys crocheting and beading, but a good book can tempt her away from almost anything, except writing. She now happily writes about vintage kitchen collecting, muffin baking, and dead bodies for publisher Beyond the Page.
